"SHE"
She was so lost in the dark, no light in sight. Bottles to the head, sex almost every night. Rejection filled her soul, voices filled her head. No one wants you! Get revenge! Go get that bottle! Open up them legs! She should have started seeking God but chose Satan instead. Depression was silenced by the weed and wine, to her she believed that made everything just fine. She went from man to man trying to be a wife, she should have been lucky God didn't take her life. It was God who saved her from an untimely death YES, God who saved her from taking her last breath. She believed all hope was lost, things would never change, In her mind God was nowhere in range. Her special? says who? Her loved? says who? Her good enough, Says who?, she would think, not realizing God could change her mindset in just one blink. You hurt? take a shot, You mad? hit the blunt, no-one will see your hurt, go ahead put on that front. These thoughts circled her head day in and day out, I WANT SOMEONE TO LOVE ME! you could hear her heart shout. Wearing her heart on her sleeves made men look at her as naïve. You need help with the kids? what you gonna do for it? force them on their dad just for a little bit. These thoughts began to hurt her to the core, All she could think to say to herself was, "You're just a whore! She was spiritually asleep until one day she woke up. It took the man she believed was "The one" to reject her for her to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! God you win! I'm over it! she shouted one day, All of a sudden her old ways began to fade away. She rebuilt herself, Letting God take the lead, she started to grow in Christ like a new planted tree. I write this o say that SHE is ME.
