Remembering my hands

I came into this world with two hands fit with five fingers

But I have only just noticed them today

They have matured along side me, collecting calluses along the way

They have their own creases and folds, the ability to change colors and communicate

They are able to build up the world around me

just as easily as they are able to destroy it

Although these hands have been held by others, they belong to me alone

They typed the words you see on your screen, bridging the gap between me and you
