Rivers, memories and the sea

Kahtan KIBASI 1942

The cold late evening breeze
Fishing boat heads to the sea
Seagulls seeking the light
For a compass
Old memories search for a
Home in my head
Nights passed
Might be by now dead
But within the me they as
The first moment the took
Their place in the ever revolving
Time slots
For me now so far from the Shatt
This deepens the sorrow
 and inflames the lasting open wound
