I did it!

Look at me now!
If only you could, huh?
You once knew me as ignorant, bitch, cunt, and a scary ass.
Any sudden noises and movements made me cower.
Yelling was my cup of coffee.
There was no "good days" with you around.
Like a leech, you sucked the life out of me.
Hell is where I lived.
Each day I begged God to take me home.

Boy, you'd hate to see me now though!
My head held so high that your weed couldn't make you higher.
My smile brighter than the sun.
I laugh so much I swear I should have a six pack by now.
I don't let anyone control me or my words!
Sad times come and go but not because of you, but because of my BPD.
God listened to me and brought me home.
Home is my Lover.
Ever since I laid eyes on him,
he made me feel so safe.
I got free from your dark and tightened grasp.
You don't have power over me anymore!
I did it!

About this poem

Another piece about my Love. Thank you for helping me see my worth! I now know I don't need makeup to hide anything. I am beautiful inside and out! I love you.
