In Need To Be Protected

Knowing to be who one is.
Unapologetically.
Often is the one seldom heard to argue.
With those who cheat, deceive and lie.
Make excuses to use alibis.
Then attempt to try various disguises.
To impress others also pretentious.
Rare is someone like this,
Going about their business.
Without offending the ones pretending,
Reality to live it...
Is in a continuous masquerading,
To charade.

'Our way of life is being damaged.
Insulted and diminished,
On a daily basis.
And is in need to be kept protected.
As well as defended.
To keep our values from fading away.'

'I agree.
So right you are.
However...
What do you suggest be used?
Truth?
Or...
Heaven forbid,
More fiction to delude...
A safe and approved depiction of it?'

'At least that would be a start.
As long as truth is offered as an option.
And does not affect the rest of us.
With an enforcing it.
Without our endorsement to accept.'

'One never knows,
Which way the wind will blow next.'

'Our way of life,
Has nothing to do with climate change.'

'All of it has to do with climate change.
Like it or not!'

'Ooo...
So rude and appalling you are.'

'And...
Unapologetically so!
But there is something about the truth,
No one, not even you, can avoid.
Eventually.
And, thank you.'

'Thank me?
Thank me for what?'

'For being so observant.'
