Screams to The Unknown

Screams to The Unknown

Yelling echoes surround me when I am alone
Born in a world of hurt and unjust
I am one with contempt
I possess a crowded mind and a lonely soul
An empty heart yearning to fill with hope
To grasp a purpose
A meaning to life
A reason to live
More reasons to live, rather than reasons to die
To lay hold of something absolutely precious, comprehension
I wish to understand
Why existence must come to pass
Why must we pass, away?
Like a grey cloud
Shifting aside for the sun to shine
Why must darkness and light compete
Why can’t align without a scrimmage?
Why do we have to die?
Turn pale and stiff as truth sucks the breath of air
From a man
A friend
You
Have bitter sweet fibers that blooms
Until the soil can no longer carry the burden of food
Leaving the alive to decorate the grounds with coffins and graves
Life rotates until, until
His time
No one knows
So, I release ‘Screams to The Unknown’
I wish to know what lies ahead
From here to there
What comes next?
Why are we here?
This world is clearly no man’s friend
Much more a principal
The breadwinner of death
There is a fundamental truth to life
That a person would miss us when we die

About this poem

This poem is about lacking the understanding of life and its purpose. Being conflicted about living to die and not agreeing with life's concept.
