Shattered

Life as we knew it is gone forever
Rules changed and morals astray
What do we do when everyone is right?
All winners and no losers
How can this be? I don’t understand
Our lives are shattered
Chaos and destruction lead the way
No room for rules to guide us today

Parents not caring and hating their life
Children not listening, just disrespect
Playing video games or on the phone
Being mean to one another, losing control  Dealing with bullies at work and school
Our lives are shattered
Chaos and destruction lead the way
No room for respect to guide us today

Each person wants it their way
Helping, kindness, and love no more
More crime, death, and shootings on tv
Very sad to say, but that’s only the news
What happened to us?
When did evil take over?
Where do we go from here?
Our lives are shattered
Chaos and destruction lead the way
No room for love to guide us today

Confusion, heartbreak, sadness remain
When will it end?
We can’t continue this anymore
Bring back compassion and kindness
Love and respect; Peace in our hearts
God help us! God hear us! God bless us!
No room for evil in our world
Nor death and destruction ruling our soul
Each one of us has a choice
Do what’s right, stay strong, and fight!!
Or remain shattered and lose our way of life
