A little Time

A Little Time

After the- make up is gone and your hair is out of place
and your breath ain't quite so fresh and we've lived in the same place
for a while.

After the - new grows routine and the chores they never end.
And the conversation's bland, becomes mundane or so it seems you
make me smile.

Never for get that you're my first choice as the world blows by.
I stop and see you- we pause and let em breeze through- cuz you're
the one I chose to be mine
And It just took a little time

After the argument rages and anger flares inside
and we've taken our breaks and we still know we're on our side
let's just be nice.

We've got some way's thats hard to deal with but we know we make mistakes
so we learn to love forgiveness and we shoot another take
We'll be alright.

I've grown to looove what's in your heart
I've grown to look at you and see beyond your sexy parts.

I haven't always been the man you needed me to be
but I'm growin every day so just keep an eye on me
We'll be alright, it'll just take a little time.

When the hair- Gets a little salty and the years keep moving by
And the body aint so friendly but we still give life a try
I’m by your side.

When we get- to the other side of this hard life we’ve had to live
When we see- the Creator and how much we had to give
We’ll know we tried
He’ll wipe away the tears that we cried.
We’ll remember the days when we were spring time fresh
We’ll think back to the follies but we passed the tests
And we’ll do it together though the mountain’s high….
It’ll just take a little time.
