The Years of Past

Paul Barrett 1981 (Orange)

Alone at last
As some people dare to ask
A silent sway of leaves
A silent soul to squeeze
I am here at last
But I still dwell on the past
Wish I could see you again
I miss you now and then
I am alone in the dark
The years of past.

Brevity is the sole essence of a poem. But it alone draw an attention. A good one. Keep it more genuine and lively.

If we are fortunate, we ultimately meet ourselves. Thanks for sharing this strong experience. Well done.

Most of us will be alone at some stage of life. Then and only then will our past become our constant companion .Memories are a treasure that make us rich !
