For My Baby

When I was only 22 God had a plan that no one else could see

There was a small bundle of joy growing inside of me

He chose me for a special task.

What am I going to do, I asked?

I’m not ready you should pick another. He answered….

No my child, I need for you to be a good mother.

Ok Lord, I’ll do my best, you make sure she’s healthy and I’ll do the rest.

So I had my angel and named her Seiarria,

I vowed from that day forward that I’d always take care of her.

August 30th became a very special day.

And soon I celebrated my very first mother’s day.

She was so sweet, she hardly ever cried,

But she wasn’t just my little bundle of joy that I showed off with pride.

I prayed for a healthy child and that’s what I received,

Lord thank you for the miracle that I have achieved.

She had curly hair and a beautiful face

I thank God every day for his continued grace.

She will change our household and soon we will become a team.

Things will not be as hard as they once seemed.

Every day I will show her unconditional love.

And care deeply for her like a precious dove.

She will show us that life may sometimes be rough

but it’s all in Gods plan just to make us tough.

She will bring strength, happiness and peace.

So deep down, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you Lord for choosing me.
