Another Obstacle

Energy not mine, but somewhat divine. It trickles through my veins. It ebbs and flows, but to where it goes no one knows.

A simple fear, but evermore complex. It quickly rushes across my lips like two fast sinking ships.

Nevermore are you by my side.

Let it go. Let it flow. Never shall you appear. It's not long now, I can see the forest for the trees. It bleeds when you're not here.

It bleeds pain from scrapes, scratches, and bruises to the heart and soul. It got you, you let it! You invited it in like a welcomed summer breeze. Carrying you into the sunset, but now you have regrets.

High definition thoughts racing in my head. What's that word that washes away all your fears?

Life's lessons wither away from my mind. Casting away these thoughts as I lay supine.

Stand up!

Can this be the light at the end of a struggle? So long I yearned for it! I could taste it's sweet whispers like a song flowing into my ears.

Fall back! Lean forward! No! Stay stuck like a scared fawn just too afraid to move. You can't! You won't!

But do I dare?

Push forward, lose the demons, leave NOTHING to pull you back. Run! Don't walk! The darkness is still near.

Crawl, scream, no one is here. Each fear you let go it rushes like a river flowing between your hands.

Stand up! Dust off!

Go about your day!

Looking back, long in the distance, another obstacle you overcame.
