My death day

M.R.P 2000 (Bushbuckridge)

Free verse
Is it too much to ask
When will I die
Rid myself of this pain
Heaven or hell
I will finally know

This is the day the Lord has made
I hate being bedridden on the seabed
Bottom low, six feet that's not deep

High in my aspirations
Low in my lust for death

Job curses his date of birth
I curse today my Spirit downcast
At least he was righteous
Am I even Christian
