TRAP

Sometimes I see myself wearing the crown,
But everywhere I turn things turning brown.
Spinning inside a small concentric circle
Keep reminding me of the life like a turtle,
Many of times I try to be discrete
Whenever I'm out walking the street.
Sometimes I feel like my life retrogress
While I'm fighting to make a forward progress.
It's hard to keep myself abreast
Because my life is being put to the test.
I have learned to accept the nobler and pettier.
Meanwhile life in general is not getting easier
I seldom think on being affluent
But there is no one around to give me the influence.
I often feel like my body is grinding
Meanwhile I'm positive about my silver lining
Everywhere I turn there's a role model buffet,
With a variety of choices for everyone to choose from.
All of my wishes are steered to the sky
Hoping the lord will hear my cry
"LORD HERE MY CRY IF YOU WILL"
I'm with the postman receiving my bills.
I wish for the brightest white light to shine on me
All I need is to turn my own key.
I try not to steal second base and remain on first.
Meanwhile everyday I'm dealing with this thirst
"Lord hear my cry if you will"
I'm at my window leaning over my sill.
Hoping for one day to straighten this bent
Wishing one day this it all comes to an end.

About this poem

This piece was written with one thing in mine. Be resilient and never give up on yourself and dreams, some people will try to get in your way to wish that you fail which i consider small, minded people steer your mind far from them because a drowning man is of no value to a drowning man .
