Blue Skies And Wheat Fields

They are under attack
enemies blowing up everything in sight
like fireworks, but the worst possible kind,
 Russians celebrating their own tyranny
 People afraid for their lives,
 Hiding,
 smelling loss
 burning passion
 Reclaiming what is theirs
 a burning nation,
 THEIR nation,
 under attack
  tastes like a burger
 Burnt to a crisp,
With a warm glass of Tears.
 Pain,
 It numbs you.
 Sadness,
 It numbs you.
 no longer feeling anything.
Not being able to do anything about it
dogs barking,
out of tune,
for the carnage to end,
But alas,
there is nothing they can do
Sirens.
That is all you can hear
 Followed by the loudest silence
The flag of Ukraine is supposed to symbolize their blue skies and fields of wheat,
But now it looks like bleak smoky skies over fields of rubble, with a Russian eagle regally perched in the center.
