Chocolates and Flowers

Chocolates, flowers; always did those
Heartfelt poem, I'd always compose
My heart counted for the burning rose

'Keep Playing' or 'Give Up and Quit'
It's the former my heart always chose
I wasn't ready to bring that chapter to a close
You seemed to fit the picture of my future perfectly,
Everything about you was a stunning pose

You always kept my heart on its toes,
Before you made love the worst of it's foes
It's been some months since it froze,
After love became one of it's worst woes
I just let my mind move in whatever direction,
Just move wherever the wind blows
Just go with wherever the current flows,
Because as far as loving goes,
I'm done; I'm still not over that overdose

All red and no green;
Story of how I killed my heart trying to make her my Queen
There isn't no place my mind hasn't been,
There isn't no pain my heart hasn't seen
I shouldn't be dealing with this shit,
For God's sake, I'm only a teen
