Heartfelt Gratitude With Love

I am grateful for being alive on June Fifteenth of 2021
I am grateful for you contacting me that evening, a friendship had begun
I am grateful for you taking the first step in reaching out
I am grateful for you traveling all the way at times to meet me, no doubt
I am grateful to you for taking out time to spend with me
I am grateful for getting attention from thee
I am grateful for you having drinks and meals with me, you see
I am grateful for you driving around with me when free

I am grateful to you for trying to understand my pain
I am grateful for all fights and arguments, a stronger bond I did gain
I am grateful for you holding me at times
I am grateful for you helping me cry sometimes
I am grateful for you giving me your shoulder to cry on then
I am grateful to you for making me feel at peace, when I’m with you again and again
I am grateful to you for bringing me happiness
I am grateful to you for holding my hand with tenderness

I am grateful to you for introducing Greek yogurt in my life
I am grateful to you for showing me the low GI rice
I am grateful to you for telling me to eat fruits and sprouts
I am grateful that you taking my help to load and move you out
I am grateful to you for trying to get into the store to shoot with me
I am grateful for you sharing your music list with glee
I am grateful for your thoughtful gifts that you brought my way
I am grateful that I can use them and think of you every day

I am grateful for you sharing your personal journey with me
I am grateful for you sharing your fears to some degree
I am grateful for you sharing your troublesome past
I am grateful for your sharing things about your family at last
I am grateful for you sharing little about your work that’s deep
I am grateful for you sharing stories about your friends you keep
I am grateful for you showing me the possibilities that lay
I am grateful to you for giving me hopes to keep me at bay

I am grateful for falling in love with you my friend
I am grateful for you trying to comprehend and not reprehend
I am grateful for you sharing yourself with me
I am grateful for you letting me share myself with thee
I am grateful for your hugs and kisses
I am grateful for you giving me my first time experiences
I am grateful to you for helping me in self-confidence sighting
I am grateful for you to being the inspiration to my writing

I am grateful for you being frank, direct, fun, naughty and passionate
I am grateful for you being romantic, loveable, kind and compassionate
I am grateful for you still staying in state and close by
I am grateful that I always think about you and get high
I am grateful that you still do communicate with me
I am grateful that you think of me as some kinda friend of thee
I am grateful for you being a part of my life
I am grateful for you being here alive

Mahesh Wadhwani

I always apologize for the length of my text as that’s the best way for me to communicate rather than verbally!! Not a man of many words but still manage to doodle when in mood to write, which is rare!! I am not even sure if what I scribble is poetry or even what form or just words that rhyme!! To me writing is an art, a sign of creativity and a means of expression. I don't really think that anyone can just write without any feelings, without having felt, without having lived, experienced or cherished. Whatever one writes, there is some amount of a persons own feelings and presence or of those around them, indicated in the works. So I am thankful to all the people in my life and those yet to come for having given me life, love, happiness and even pain. At-least I have had the opportunity to feel it , live it and express it, whatever it maybe. Cheers! more…
