Life Boat Life
Life Boat Life
Self driving vehicles, promising dreamy clean futures, all powered by dirty smoking power plants
Poetry on the wall, tacked up everywhere, poem after poem, all stuck on the walls, piling up thick
Phones cost what cars once cost, cars cost what houses once cost, raise prices to kill inflation
Kills off poor people for sure, the well off can afford any price, a lot of clueless naked emperors
Formula writing spinning out of control, story after story, showing off true emotional content
Limited messaging, dulled, dead points, no questions asked, tack it all up, ceiling not exempt
Using clothing and artifacts as external dressings, covering over wounds that need treatment now
Hard cold facts not wanted here, don't tell anyone anything, ground littered by broken egg shells
Welcome to the funny world, bigger than any funny farm, knows no borders, crushed egg shells
Papered walls look like padded cells, floor covered with rejects, soft padding for shuffling feet
Like bedding in a rodent habitat, cruising on a treadmill, in front of friendly store buying customers
Yelling nothing, perfectly okay, rig for silent running, stay out of the talk, that stalks the walk
Tech died long ago, personal communication replaced by lifeless auto powered electric sparklings
Talk replaced music in the streaming world, seven daily podcasts better than a few years of albums
The Titanic sank long ago, no problem, billions of lifeboats now aimlessly drifting, outliving tales of life
These life boats, drifting through lands, waters, flights of fancy, each one a self contained living body
