It wasn't me

It wasn’t me
He was speaking to someone with a smile
And thousand knives dug into my heart,
The pain dripping from the wounds
I collected in my eyes and didn’t let it drop

It wasn’t me
He was all over someone trying to impress
And cold shiver ran through my spine
The shaking of my weakened knees
I gathered in my steady stride and didn’t stop

It wasn’t me
He was caressing the silhouette in his arms
And a flame rose deep inside me
The scorching hurt so intense
I gulped down an empty swallow on the rock

Had got the invite to his wedding
And it had killed my very being
I was buried and cremated but even today I stir
When I hear that remote name knock.
Yes, It was me!
