Quaking moments

She closed her eyes wanting to devour,
the warmth of sunrays with familiar savour.
The loving touch encompassed her entire body,
every nerve responded to the sweet melody.
It stirred such passions that she trembled.

She raised her hands to welcome the rain,
believing that shower washed away the pain.
under the desolate sky far from everything,
weeping with the sky she stood drenching.
The cool breeze pierced her and she shivered.

A natural life she had become used to,
griefs and joys balancing hitherto.
Intrusions in her life disturbing balance,
forcing her towards unwanted semblance.
Fear clutched at her heart and she quailed.

No one understood her emotions ever,
which factors led to the shocking tremor.
But the effect of quake was so devastating,
that it appeared as if earth was retaliating.
