Death passed by and said it would return.

Death passed by and said it would return.
I was barely two years old and I was close to drowning
that day.
Seventy have already passed and he has forgotten me
I hope it will take time because I'm still working;
and things are always pending
when we are finishing.

I'm not worried about the return because it has no remedy,
and if I have a little left over from the time that he has left me
I keep preparing myself dedicated to poetry,
which is the shortest path between heaven and earth,
It is the language of angels
and why not?
It is the divine word.
