A Toast

A TOAST

To time like the wind it ever blows
To memories like water if flows
To pain and suffering, let it go
A toast to forever

To life transient
To love incessant
To happiness omnipresent

To dreams held dear
To displaced doubt and fear
To loved ones kept near
A toast to forever

To eclipse expectation
To vanquish trepidation
To abounding adoration

To our past lives together
To our present as we gather
To our future lives in the ether
A toast to forever
