A TOWN NAMED DESOLATION

In a town named desolation
Terror stalking across the land,
Withered things come crawling in
From out the scorching desert sand.

In a town where all hope is long gone
And people live in desperation,
Just hoping to live another day
As night brings out abominations.

Screeching filling the night, as
Goliaths swoop through the air,
Journeyers scatter far and wide
As terrors come from everywhere.

Late-night travellers run and hide
As haunting flapping fills the sky,
When leviathan creatures wing past
Any passing people will surely die.

Burrowers beneath are digging
Mischievously hiding underground,
Waiting for innocent passersby,
To grab their feet and pull them down.

In a town named desolation
Truly, only fear and sorrow remain,
Where goodness of any kind has died
And the residents soon all go insane.

Death is lurking in the shadows
In every street of this awful town,
Where everyone prays to leave
And where moving in, is moving down.
