Selective Racism

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

As of yet,
Not one human being,
Has been created man made.
To be a machine.
As of yet programmed,
Without memory or feelings to forget...
What it is to have emotions.
Or a doing to others,
Misdeeds to regret.
Not yet.
Although...
That determination,
Seems speeding ahead in progress.

And here we are experiencing to live,
The possibilities of history.
Anyplace and anywhere.
Being selectively re-written.
With a doing,
Taught to teach it done to exclude...
Truth and its reality to delude and fiction.
With it hoped knowing if animated,
Anything depicted with a smiling face...
Will permanently affect,
The innocent minds of children.
Quickly manipulated.
Erased from truth.
And completely gone to have been,
Replaced.

Refusing the truth,
Has today produced conflict and friction.
Many feel threatened and betrayed,
By reality to be made afraid of it.
And prepared to defend,
Their deluded lives to the bitter end.
With a weaponizing themselves.
To protect against the truth of history.
And its evidence revealed presented.
Leaving those unconscious.
Without it to them known,
There once had been a truth.
And its reality embraced..

Leaving denial worshippers,
And skeptics left disbelieving...
Their taught teachings learned,
Have never been true.
Although lived to make real.
Like comic book heros.
They've been encouraged to emulate.

'What to us are you trying to convince?
That our lives have been fictioned?
And there has always been proof,
Of this historic hidden evidence?
You expect us now to include?
And from nowhere,
Give it life to resuscitate?

Well...
Too late!
We refuse to allow our children,
To become exposed to this evidence.
And besides...
We don't want them to be hurt.
Or feel negative about themselves.'

'Hmmm...
I see.
What a dilemma reality can be.
Huh?
How delicious can a stew be made,
Without the beef?
But...
You find it okay and perfectly alright,
If a truth that has been fictioned...
To despise and hurt,
Others made to feel negative.
And worthless about themselves?'

'That is different.
That to do is 'our' history!
Where do you bleeding,
Heart dripping party poppers come from?
Annually you folks gather together,
As if all of you decided
It is the season to shoot down kites.
And pop high flying balloons.
Flying towards that pot of gold.
Day and night.
At the end of a rainbow.
Goodness!'

'Your history?
YOUR HISTORY?
With approved deception.
Removed and divorced,
From truth, of course.
And lies to teach.
Taught to tell well?
From podiums to preach teachings.
So deceiving are these lessons.'

'It is our preference,
To be bigots and selective racists!
Afterall who isn't a bit protective,
Of their own heritage?'

'And this privileged decision taken,
Does what to benefit...
The future of your children?
My children? Our children?
Pledging their allegiance,
As patriots to and of The United States?'

'Come on, please.
I can not believe,
You are saying that seriously.
Enough of this nonsense.
Are we not all devoted hypocrites?
With a hyphenated purpose,
To identify, define and protect...
The difference of our ancestry?
People also claim they don't eat meat.
But can't have their omelets made,
Without a few slices of bacon.
Or the taste of baked linked sausage.
Give me a break.
Are we not all victims.
Taught to preserve,
And celebrate our ethnic differences?
Speak now or forever,
Fry your chicken without the grease.
And do we not all,
Look forward to welcome the holidays?!
Dressing up on Halloween.
Grabbing turkeys for Thanksgiving.
And then to sing carols.
Rushing to buy gifts for Christmas.
With a hoping that done is appreciated!'

'Okay, okay whatever.
But I am referring more to equality.
And the quality of life.
We all should receive.
As our right to be entitled,
To a democracy.
This is the land of the free.'

'From who to delude and fiction this?
We are free to identify money.
And the only difference a color makes,
Is if it's green.
Printed on paper.
And has value made to purchase things.
Making whoever it is envious.
That's it!
All that equality business is just a tool.
And talk between college debaters.
Hired graduates of winning arguments.
With degrees from prestigious schools.
Kept to keep the economy,
The main priority.
And racism?
Demographically fed.
Known very lucrative to market it!
Pleasing the elite and yacht owners.
And we...
Meaning you and me.
Are not immuned from paying taxes.
No matter how deep in debt,
Our creditors remind us of it.
Regardless of what is liked or disliked.
Nasty words heard or the rolling of eyes.'

'Okay.
You're close to winning that round.
Then how do you explain,
Your being a selective racist?'

'Explain?
I am in no position,
To explain the faults of misdeed doers.
Or a system financed on division.
Are we not,
Materialistic capitalists?
With dreams to feed,
One life to live...
Greeding upon wishes?
To impress and address them?'

'That sounds so programmed.
And...well,
Robotonish!'

'And...
This point to make,
Changes what to prove and to who?
Intelligence to have it?
Or power grabbers,
Made addicted to that selfish habit.
Hmmm.
How I anticipate its salted to flavor taste.
However...
Try serving that on a plate.
To then discuss,
The appetizing of it to crave more!'

'So you are saying,
Racism is a way of our life to live?'

'Well...
You have evidence and proof,
You have been victimized.
Me?
I have to pretend I am a victim too!'

'By what?'

'The reality of a truth being revealed.
And not being prepared to consent to it!'

'That makes no sense whatsoever!'

'Oh?
And in these times and days we live in,
What does?'
