I AM

Lindell Wooden 1984 (Greenville, NC)

Let not your mind wonder,
Nor your thoughts waver,
For with me shall peace be,
And by me shall love spring.

Let not your feet stumble,
Neither your eyes miss lead the,
For which path can one take,
And if any be given unto you.

For thru me are doors open,
And by me are they closed,
What river can flow without my command,
And what land can stay dry without my acknowledgement.

For where there is life,
I shall be,
And where there is death,
So shall I be also.

All things exist because of me,
And without me do they perish,
For I AM
And always will be.
