3am thoughts

Gift 2006 (Bournemouth)

Can we just talk for a minute
I'm not looking for closure
I just wanted to know what the hell you were thinking when you ruined this,
Ruined us.
Took the toil and pain and sweat of love and
flushed it down to live with the broken dreams,
I'm bursting at the seams with droplets of poison
concentrated with hate and malice,
I'm desperate
to force them down your throat.
I'm in the cockpit
and this plane is going to crash and burn
like my sanity and my health and my life.
I'm in the execution room
and I'm so ready to plunge those needles
and send you to a very hot place for a very long time.
I'm in the arena
and I swear to whoever is listening
that I won't leave until I can taste your blood on my tongue,
savour the taste,
like burnt bridges and hopelessness.
I'm the judge
and you will never see the sun again,
trapped like my ability to feel within a closed room of pessimism.
I'm so ready to destroy you.
And I'm tired of chasing demons again and again and again in my head.
Because all I want
is for you and I
to talk
for a minute.
