Un día en el trópico



Luz solar irradia sobre la frente
Gota a gota la sudoración aparece
De repente, tenue brisa refresca mi frente
El brillo cae, aligera mi vista para ver lo que se avecina.

Aumenta el calor, la sensación que el aire espesa mientras respiro y observo que
las nubes son lo que imperan
en este cielo celeste sin tregua.  

Tremendo aguacero arremete
contra el sol, el calor y a los que conmigo
la tormenta acecha.

Correr en búsqueda de un refugio, ojalá
un refugio bajo el árbol con la sombra más cubriente.
Todo se detiene, esperar a no mojarse
es como la fe de encontrar un oasis en el desierto.

Viento corre fuerte moviendo las nubes y difuminando
la lluvia en brisa ligera como seda
que se extiende en un cielo que vuelve a brillar
resplandeciente como una noche de luna llena.
