"Cracks in the Mirror!"

“Cracks in the Mirror!”
                             ================
                                            by Michael

- I look at the World through broken branches of a dying tree -
- I look at my face and the cracks in the mirror and It’s just not me --
- i can’t fix the mirror the cracks have to be ---

- More time is behind then I'll be alive!-
- I'm on day Twenty-three thousand eight hundred and five –-
- Accepting the truth shall keep me alive---

- I curse every crack as I climb thru my day -
- Pushing aside broken branches hoping cracks go away –
- Who am I kidding every crack's here to stay ---

- But there is truth in reality and acceptance should be made -
- That the cracks are forever and life’s dues must be
paid –
- It will continue to crack and never be stayed ---

- I have tried to postpone the inevitable out -
- But that's hard to do short of spiritual clout –
- I am in the 10th round of a 10-round bout ---

- The framing is older then any one crack -
- I have misspent some days I shall never look back –
- Now step out of the ring for times what I lack ---

- Time is illusive but our most precious gift –
- Moving the branches wishing they shift --
- But time keeps on going there is no face-lift---
