Frigid, frightened, he skirted
Away from she who flirted
And like an octopus embraced
Him, spinning his equilibrium laced
What once was a strong position
Now awkward, much indecision
Like frightened mouse or grouse
He'd rather hide in corner of his house
But closeness, chemistry of amour
A twosome dance a bit unsure
They hugged, they kissed
A certain distance she'd insist
For minutes together as one
Close, most electric feeling has begun
Into the hurricane called romance
Yet reticence not ready to engage in closest dance
So our young-lover minds bedazzled
Next day their vision with love frazzled
It's courting, sorting time, cavorting time
Does youth know how lucky they are in their prime?
