To Be Twenty-Five Again

I wish I were twenty-five again
I'd hold the umbrella and stop the rain
And shelter you and hold you close
And kiss your lips and the tip of your nose
I would whisk you off to shores unheard
To pinnacles and jungles, see the prettiest bird
Share the native culture of the season
And squeeze and kiss you without reason
Empty my heart and feelings deep
Share the secrets we must keep
So true and loyal as the whitest dove
Proclaims the closeness of our love
