Moving Myself The Mountain

There is a hurt, she carries deep
Unaware of the pain
The mind protected away
Locked in hidden boxes

Childhood scars, still whispering
Peeling it's way from inside
A band-aid cant stop the bleeding
Here goes another day

Clattering sounds of distraction
She has no time for pain
Simply shoving down feelings
It's easier this way

Sadness and pain are not for her
Not what she wants to do
Discomfort is off the table
I'm sorry she cant hear you

Converting to kid like states
She said I'm done with you
Unwilling to hear the answers
She pouts, now mad at you

Stomping around for a while
Foolishly closing you out
No means to deal with such subjects
The venom slowly leaks out

She keeps making every wrong move
Two steps front, ten steps back
Creating new scars every time
Self hate is all that's left

Knowing full well she needs to talk
Easier said than done
The prying of her inner sorrows
She needs to show someone

Needing a plan to get over
The mountains in her past
To truly love herself
God's overcomer at last.
