Constitution

He lies in his bed
and stares at the ceiling,
lost in his thoughts,
shut off to his feelings.
He waits for a call,
or a reason to get up,
he's been there for days,
--enough is enough!
It's time to get up,
hit the showers and get dressed;
life can be hard,
but challenge breeds excellence.
He can't back down,
give up or quit,
he knows only one thing,
fear, self-loathing, and pity is all the same shit.
