Wrote About You

It's 5am,
And I'm just here.
Not knowing what I should write.
Would it be about you?
Or about the clear skies and starry nights?
Would it be about what a mess I've become?

It's 8am,
And I'm just me.
Staring up at the ceiling
Until these words reach paper.
If I could write about you,
This pen would not know where to begin.
But here it goes;

It's 12pm,
And I'm alone.
I took a deep breath;
Now I'm drowning,
In a bottle filled with regret.
My lungs can't take it.

It's 9pm,
And I'm not missing you,
But you'll come back soon.
I just know it.
My ink is running out,
And I  have no room left to write.

It's 12am,
And I can't put my mind at ease.
I'm still drowning
And I can't get back up.
You took the wind out of me.
Turned me black and blue;
Yet I'm still here.
Someway, somehow.

It's 5am,
And I'm just tired.
A new pen, the same old line.
It seems there's no escape.
Depression,
My dearest friend.
I wrote about you today....
