The Preacher Chap

Friday Osato Ogbewi 1974 (Edo state)

He thoughts me,many things
In the holy book and admonished me
To be holy like the holy book
He preach about abstract kingdom of promises as a seed to
My soul with pros and  cons

He thoughts me about offerings
Tithes and willfull giving but
He collect much from me on deceit
He gives me hope in trust and faith in action.

He said to me, you will inherit the
Abstract kingdom with all virtues
But  the chap love colour but lack
Colour in the coloured world.

His status portray that of legal
Counsel with well press formalised colour that portray holiness. But conny and crafty in this game of sermonization.

His sermon deviod of the portions of the holy book that would rather dissuaded and cautionalised me about his true colours.

About this poem

This poem is to reveal the obvious deceit that some so called religious leaders exhibit certain trend of hippocracy in their conduct. This is give a warning signal of awareness and to admonished them to change thier way.
