Met my fall to love

An undecided decision that requires all resolve,
A missing piece that makes its own puzzle,
Either a flaw or a solution of how we evolved,
At first, I wished I didn't get involved,
But then also felt like causing a revolt
Whenever I get excluded from the vote.

Growing up love was a mental condition,
That filled the mind with all sorts of delusions,
Love was this unsolved mystery,
Not only affecting men who lacked conviction,
But also those who previously thought their hearts were made of stones,
Only love could change a wolf into a sheep
And bring it to submissions
As if breaking men was its mission.

Throughout my existence after every heartbreak,
I would tell love
" you will never get me again
As long as I'm alive,
you promise joy
But pain is what you impart! ";
Every time I would build walls around my heart,
And Write diatribes in the form of poetry,
Saying you're the worst
and how you will never get inside of me,
And yet I fall again, and again,
What a travesty.

Bruce The Poetik Wolf

Hello, My name is Bruce Mugwaneza. I'm a Rwandese Poet who writes under the alias of The poetik wolf. Wolves are incredible creatures who are always misunderstood and poorly described in doctrines and folklores. Growing up as a young boy dealing with mental health issues like chronic depression, Adhd, and anxiety; I also always felt misunderstood. Writing came to me in my darkest days when I needed an outlet, to communicate to the world and express myself. For 10 years now I have been writing - mostly as a hobby since in my country there are not many opportunities for poets. Platforms like Submittable have changed a lot for me and the people in my position. more…
