Christmas

Christmas

Bright moonlight looks down upon a silent land
Stillness , waiting, watching with  bated breath
Snow on rooftops, lights in windows, all waiting in that silent air.
Stars in the sky like  lights on trees, light the way for Christmas cheer
Children watching, waiting, wondering if they might see Santa passing by on his magic slay.
Sleep overcomes their watchful eyes, with dreams of presents and surprises,
Day breaks on a silent land, snow untouched by human hand , but not a slay mark can be found.
Feet running down wooden stairs, voices, laughter can be heard, as presents found,
Then opened to joy unbound

The world held still , God looked down , spoke saying let mankind pray.
Pray for love, hope and joy
Pray for happiness, and peace unbound
Mankind prayed; hearts opened, filled the world with
Love and peace for all,
Christmas magic now working, brings mankind a peace once lost but now found,
The world holds still as it fills with Christmas cheer, of voices singing, of laughter ringing, but most of all with mankind’s peaceful thinking, and not a Christmas filled with fear
On this special Christmas day
