Brooklyn

Jonathan D Murray 1985 (Queens, New York)

January 22

Brooklyn,
where I met you
twice, fell into your eyes
got lost in blue skies and golden
bright lights

About this poem

Written to celebrate the 8 year anniversary of my wife and I becoming official. We joke that we met twice (the first time I don't fully remember) at two house parties in Brooklyn. This was shortly after I moved there to pursue writing and performing. It was an unforgettable time of new beginnings, bold adventures, and our beautiful romance with each other and New York City.
