As the Day Begins

                                  As The Day Begins

The curtains fly open to greet the sun into the home.

The covers fall back and expose the rested body ready for the day.

The warmth of the comforter that was snuggled all around you is broken by the alarm blaring in your ear.

Your best friend ready to pounce and play giving licks of love all over your face.

The coffee  maker much to far away to just roll over and start so the smell can awaken you.

The thanking of our maker for this day that ha not been seen before by anyone except for the who made it.

As you stand the blessings fall upon you and the feeling is welcoming and warm.

As the day begins someone is alone hurting, needing of the sun to shine on them.

Waiting, waiting, waiting for their blessing to come as the day begins.

The blessing that is in us, that  which is born in us, that which is not realized until, It can be awaken by us as the day begins.

Those demons awake  for some and the darkness sets in for a long day of havoc as their day begins.

The steps of forgiveness must be practiced and set forth for progress to begin again.

Our yearning of love ,life, finances and the thoughts for the future are all here.
The memories  of the past hurts disappointments, lies deceit  have all waken up too

As the Day Begins

Tammie Conyer

I am a 58 yr old African American woman who has always dreamed of writing . When I was a child I used to hide in my closet and write about the way life was for me being a middle child and not feeling like I belonged to our family. As years went by and life happened my dream quickly took a back seat .I am now 58 and my life has been a roller derby ride so now its time to tell it. It's time for me to step out and be heard. more…
