Ruins

Solacethepoet 2002 (South Africa)

He came home to an empty house,
sat on his empty table
and recalled all the full memories
stored within his precious memory box.
Memories of times when time
did not matter, only the moment
at present.
Memories of him and his beloved wife,
whom is no longer present,
She left a black hole that mercilessly
sucks everything and could never be filled.
He misses her more than anything
in existence it tears his soul apart,
On most nights he weeps in his room,
Excessive gloominess there's no longer
enough room.
Daily, with the help of the dark side,
he's heading towards the void that is
going to consume all he is, including the
memories he held on dearly to, and the
profound Love for his beloved wife.
