Now that the curtain has closed

royston 1946 (Reading)

My life’s over for the curtain has closed
and the place where I have gone no one knows.
I had no faith in which to put my trust
and so, have I just died and turned to dust?

Who knows what lies upon the other side?
Who knows where I am now that I have died?
I have ignored the claims of Jesus Christ,
that He has conquered death by sacrifice.
