From Father To Son

Well, son, I'll tell you what:
Life for me is like the army.
It's full of surprises,
And adrenaline rushin' moments,
and a couple rough patches,
and places that are dry and
sandy
But all the time
It's a journey,
A experience,
life long lesson,
And sometimes you have to be brave
But know your fighting for your country.
So boy, don't turn back
Don't give up
Because you will find yourself stronger
Don't fail now---
For I see you becoming, son,
I'm still here,
And life for me hasn't been a joy ride
