Thoughts

Zoe May 2007 (fairbanks)

Looking in a mirror
I realize the falsity
in my look
I see nothing but what I can't achieve
I give in
overwhelmed & tired
I could only look at my surroundings with a blur
Never thinking emotional opportunity could be so
deceptive
I always promised I would never look at myself with such hurtful thoughts: Poking at my emotional barriers
Broke my own laws; sue me
for every crack engraved in my heart
Every thought I let tear myself apart
So far ahead I was
Now I am Mark Twain
Twas because
Still
No one will see me for who I am internally
