Little Bird Poems

It had been
An entire year
Since I last saw
Those piercing blue eyes
Staring back at me.
An, oh God,
I had forgotten
How they could penetrate
Into my very soul.
But when I saw you
Glancing at me,
I could feel you
In the depths of
Me.
