Ilustre estrela cadente perdida!
Na queda, seu brilho espalha tão lindo...
Como se a proximidade do fim
fosse o clímax: Funesta obra de vida.

Estrela que cai, paradoxo ruim...
O que há de bonito na hóstia comida?
O que há de perfeito na alma ferida?
Como se abrilhanta assim, sem destino?!

Pobre, pobre astro, desastre romântico.
Sua candura voou em partes na atmosfera
sua calda se desprendeu sobre o Atlântico

e agora passa por nós, nobre esfera...
A caminho de seu lírico quântico
deixando em mim, um cadáver de pedra.
