The swinging man

Free verse
The swinging man. What has happened I am hanging in the air.  Swinging bobbing  I cast adrift from land feet away from the ground.  I have  no idea why I am here alone. No one matters a soul lost in the air. Not understanding no one cares as I rot and smell. I can see the ground so far away my neck broken as I sag . No one remembers my faults and my short comings. Is it anymore a surprise I am hanged man .
