How is it possible
To keep my calm
And act like everything’s alright?
How is it possible
To hold my tears in
And make sure I act strong,
So they think nothing’s changed?
How is it possible
To smile widely
When my world is crashing down
All around?
How is it possible
To believe that everything’ll be okay
When all around
I’m surrounded by smoke and fire?
How is it possible
To keep breathing,
To keep living,
When everything’s falling apart,
When my heart’s being torn and ripped
Into millions of little pieces?
How is it possible
To pretend and act
As if life were going on as normal,
When everything is just dead
All around me?
How can I possibly stay alive,
Knowing that life is slowly killing me inside?
