It Matters Not

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Does it really matter?
Who has been discovered victimized.
By deceivers skilled,
To create and produce outrageous lies.
Successfully to scrutinize,
Those alleged...
To have been less than wholesome folks.
And accused by the ones,
Cruising through all neighborhoods.
Provoking those innocent.
In the hope they will re-act,
To their old demeaning ethnic jokes.

Does it matter that people like this,
Are the cause and reason...
Of today's racial conflicts.
To reveal them to be,
Controllers ruling...
Over their own mental instabilities.

A quality of life,
Heard to hear diminishing.
Only takes observation,
To notice who is chewing apart...
Once beloved foundations,
From the inside and not out.
Although it matters not,
To the ones seeking to claim...
Others are the culprits.
With their fingers pointed.
Done not to themselves.
But to everyone else.
As if a custom taught to do.

Does it really matter?
Who has been revealed to fraud.
Lie, cheat and deceive.
Duping confused people into believing,
Their quality of life...
Is being threatened by fictioned enemies.
The very same 'enemies',
Who had pledged to them a loyalty.

And does it matter at all,
That our friends, family members...
Neighbors and associates to know.
Have been made to distrust,
Others, us and including themselves.
Because of liars, deceivers...
Who have told to have it sold,
Everything people wanted to hear.
But not truth,
Taught to fear it heard.

'That's messed up.'

'It matters not.
To the ones,
Paying to create havoc.
And enjoyed by the thoughtless.
Hoping 'bling' possessed impresses!'

'Come on.
Stop your exaggerations.
People today,
Are much more aware.
Enlightened.
And awakened to see the light.
People are much more conscious today!'

'Well...
One thing to me is obvious.'

'Oh yeah?
And what is that?'

'It matters not.
Since what is happening to us all.
Happened overnight.
And dropped out of a gloomy,
Darkened and cloudy sky.'

'For real?
Tell me you're joking.'

'I am.
I can't believe you can't see me,
Laughing hysterically!'
