Five Years

FIVE YEARS

It's five years since I submitted a poem,
Amazingly the creativity it still has grown,
There’s a compulsion coming now and then,
Finally at last I can reproduce once again.

Life carries on it simply never stops,
Covid and Delta the closing of many shops,
Lockdowns and inoculations masks and more,
Volcanoes that erupt and tsunamis offshore!

The World’s changed we all know that,
Difficult to predict or realise where we’re at,
Probes into space what does the future hold?
Floods of magnitude and many rescues-bold!

Then climate change extremes cold or hot,
Consider the discussions whether factual or not?
Communications being instant is it good or bad?
Yet seek tomorrow be optimistic and glad!
