ungratefulness

Antonio Soler 1986 (New York)

And so the bird flew miles and miles back to his nest, with a rare type of fish and offered it to his companion.
Only for it to be the wrong type of fish!
disappointed the companion was...
The bird and the companion share an intimate kiss before the bird flies away again.
This time the bird came the next morning with several fishes; however, to his surprise the companion was not interested. Looking at the other nest, the bird sees two others in a nest holding one another tightly, embracing the intimacy and enjoying the comfort and company of one another.
The bird had one more surprise; showing the companion a loaf of bread and offering it to the companion.
The companion pointed at the fish and turned away from the bird.
The bird looked at the clouds, noticing a storm approaching.
looking at the storm brewing...then looking at the companion. Walking over and assuming a hug could fix the tension between them yet a complaint was given which interrupted the attempt.
The bird once more leaned to kiss the companion but the effort was one sided. Turning away and exiting the nest, flying into the rain.
The bird was caught in a horrible storm.
The next morning the bird never made it home.

3 month later...

The companion fell in love with another bird.
