Bog Days

The mist rises green from in the bog,
Filling the air with a putrid smog.
The only life an ugly, fat frog
living inside a rotten log.

After many a day and many a night,
the sun broke through and shone so bright
the dirt itself filled with celestial light,
putting an end to this round of the fight.

The frog now lies in a rich flower bed,
no longer smelling of peat and lead.
It knows that if the bog rears it's ugly head,
It can return to it's mind
and be at peace in it's warm flower bed.

About this poem

I wrote this poem to say that even though the day might look bad, there is always a better day arriving soon.
