Believe

Please! Believe in God above
And His Son unwavering love
He died on the cross for you and me
Oh! Believe in the cross
He paid the ultimate cost
When He suffered on Calvary

There is nothing we can give
Worth the gift that was given
There is no pain we can live
To those nails that were driven
No shame we can share
Like the thorny crown He wore
There is no burden we can bear
To the cross He bore

Please! Believe in God above
And His Son unwavering love
He died on the cross for you and me
Oh! Believe in the cross
He paid the ultimate cost
When he suffered on Calvary

There is no home we can give up
Like the one he left above
We will never live up
For the life He gave up in love
There is no fear ever known
That will ever compare
For the sin and debt He felt so alone
When Our Father left him there

Please! Believe in God above
And His Son unwavering love
He died on the cross for you and me
Oh! Believe in the cross
He paid the ultimate cost
When he suffered on Calvary.

I am a special education paraprofessional I have worked in the school district for 25 years. I wrote my first book of poetry back in 2005. I´m married with two biological daughters, two adopted daughters and two grand -children and one on the way. I have always love writing but when my son and brother passed I really dove into writing poetry to help me get through that rough time in my life. After going through something I decided to start back writing this is my outlet to put my words on paper. more…
